Bio - Drew & Nichole Henderson

After serving in the Army for 6 years, being deployed to Germany, Iraq, and the states I moved to DC to work for the DAV as a National Service Officer. I was there from 2005 to 2008. I decided to move back to my home town of Bowman. I felt that I needed to be closer to family.

After moving back, I immediately felt that I needed to get involved in community. Doug and Terry Storer are my Aunt and Uncle. So naturally I was drawn to this whole ABATE deal through them. I started being more involved with the Easter Egg Hunt and Toy Runs. It felt good to provide those events for the kids. I went to my first ABATE State Rally at Menoken in 2009. I didn't have a bike of my own because I sold mine to buy my younger brother a car. So I rode one of my friends Honda Shadow. I had a blast at the rally of course. I knew then that I was a lifer after that.

In August of 2009 I met Nichole. We hung out a little while, then things got fairly serious. In December of 2010, I asked her to marry me after the first night staying in our new house together. I took her to Menoken the next summer on her dad’s Vulcan. It was a new experience for her. I couldn't get her off the bike after that. So we drove out to Minnesota and bought a 2003 Victory Classic Cruiser. Now we look forward to the next chance we have to ride. We are expecting this year in August so she won't be able to ride with me this year. Drs. orders!!

We love going on different rides. We love riding through the Black Hills and Spearfish Canyon. We love riding through the Badlands around Rhame and Marmarth. There is really good food in Marmarth. This last year we went through the Slim Buttes by Reva, SD. What beautiful country, and historical.

On some of our toys runs we have hit all of these places and also gone through Scranton, Reeder, and Ludlow. These places also have really great food too. Also this last year over Labor Day we rode to the Slim Buttes and camped for the weekend with Doug and Terry and Mike and Donna Rangitsch.

I am hoping to get more people to take the North Dakota Motorcycle Safety Program. It definitely is a program that saves lives.

As new reps Nichole and I really look forward to getting to know everyone a lot better.
